On April 8th, the High Technology Research and Development Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted the final acceptance of the “Pressurized Composite Fluidized Bed Pulverized Coal Gasification Technology Process”, an important direction project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Knowledge Innovation Project undertaken by the Shanxi Coal Chemistry Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The acceptance meeting was chaired by Liu Guiju, deputy director of the High Technology Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The acceptance expert group composed of 9 experts from universities, research institutes, design institutes, and coal gasification companies visited the site of the pilot plant for composite fluidized-bed pulverized coal gasification, carefully reviewed the acceptance report and related materials, and heard projects and topics. Complete the status report. After receiving questions from the expert group and fully discussing, the expert thinks that the integrated technology of composite gasification of fluidized bed and entrained flow bed has originality and independent intellectual property rights, and provides a new technical route for poor quality coal gasification; the project team completed a pressure of 2.0 MPa. The pilot test of lignite and smokeless coal gasification (processing capacity is 100 tons/day); proposed the basic parameters for the design of industrial installations, compiled a preliminary design process package for industrial demonstration units of 1000 tons/day, and completed the tasks specified in the project contract. The assessment indicators, acceptance expert group unanimously agreed that the project passed the acceptance.

Pressurized composite fluidized-bed pulverized coal gasification technology uses ash-laden fluidized-bed gasifier to discharge fine powder into an entrained-flow bed and converts it again at a temperature near the melting point of ash, while the entrained bed enters the stream of high-temperature gas and ash. The upper part of the dense phase section of the chemical bed can realize the compound integration of the gasification system and improve the gasification efficiency and processing capacity. This technology combines the high carbon rate of the entrained bed and the characteristics of the ash fluidized bed to adapt to high-ash and high-ash melting coal. At present, 6 invention patents have been formed, and 800 million Nm3/year of industrial fuel gas gasification system is in progress. The preliminary design. The project uses lignite as raw material. The gas production capacity of a single gasifier reaches 30000 Nm3/h and the operating pressure is 0.4 MPa. As the technology becomes more sophisticated and industrial applications continue to advance, it will play an important role in the low-pressure fuel gas market.
