Component supplier Meritor announced recently that it has sold the French Saint Priest axle factory to Renault Trucks. However, it did not disclose the details of the transaction.

400 employees at the Saint Priest Axle Factory will also be transferred to Renault Trucks. After Renault Trucks expects to acquire the plant, it will mainly carry out the surface repair and painting of trucks.

Meritor mainly supplies drive systems, brake systems and aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicles. Meritor said that the sale of Saint Priest's axle factory is in line with the company's long-term development strategy, and it will continue to invest in its Swedish and Italian wheel factory.
