Commercial vehicles as a whole pick up, breaking the downturn
This year, the commercial vehicle industry as a whole showed signs of recovery. Production and sales both achieved a substantial increase compared to the previous month and the same period of last year. Among commercial vehicle varieties, apart from the declining production and sales of non-integrated vehicles for passenger cars and passenger vehicles last month, the production and sales of trucks, trucks, non-integrated vehicles and semi-trailer tractors have shown rapid growth from last month; compared with the same period of last year. The increase in passenger cars and trucks was significant.

In February, the production and sales of passenger cars fell overall compared with the previous month, but the year-on-year increase was still relatively large. In terms of output, the number of basic passenger cars (sedans) and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) decreased slightly from the previous month, and MPVs and crossover passenger cars continued to maintain a certain growth. Compared with the same period of last year, all kinds of passenger cars showed rapid growth, with the increase of cars and MPVs being particularly significant. From the perspective of sales volume, all kinds of passenger cars showed declines in different degrees compared with the previous month, among which the decline in passenger cars and crossover passenger cars was more obvious; compared with the same period of last year, the increase in passenger cars was relatively lower than that of the previous year. In addition, other passenger car varieties maintained a rapid growth year-on-year.

As in the previous month, SAIC Motor’s The increase is still the most significant. This month, the above five companies sold a total of 316,300 vehicles, which accounted for 65.90% of the total sales of automobiles. Although rising stars, Chery and Geely, are still unable to compete with the top five companies, the increase is more significant than last year.
