Fuzhou Customs revealed on the 30th that in the first two months of this year, the export of automobile parts in Fujian Province was US$130 million, an increase of 30.1% over the same period of last year.

According to reports, the United States, ASEAN, and the European Union rank among the top three export markets. Among them, the United States exported 26.13 million US dollars in auto parts, an increase of 59.4%; exports to ASEAN 24.07 million US dollars, an increase of 29.7%; exports to the EU 15.91 million US dollars, an increase of 34.5%. The above three combined accounted for 49.5% of the total export value of automobile parts in Fujian during the same period.

Fuzhou Customs analysts said that this year, the growth of auto parts exports in Fujian has been mainly due to the recovery of the international auto market. Data shows that in February, General Motors’ car sales in the United States market rose sharply by 46%, Toyota’s sales in the United States soared by 42%, and Ford’s sales also climbed by 14%. In the German market, car sales increased by 17% year-on-year to reach 211,000 units. Canada, Russia, India and other automotive demand countries have achieved good sales.

With the increase in the demand for the entire vehicle market, the demand for auto parts has also risen. At the same time, in January this year, China exported 55,000 vehicles, which was the highest monthly value since August 2008, which was a year-on-year increase of 63.1%. The significant increase in the export of complete vehicles further stimulated the growth of export maintenance parts.
