ASA resin is a ternary copolymer consisted of Acrylonitrile, Styrene and Acrylate. ASA copolymer integrates acrylates's high impact strength and excellent weather-resistance, chemical resistance and high hardness of acrylonitrile, good processability of styrene. It can be extruded single & coextruded over ABS and PVC. ASA is particularly used in outdoor applications that require long term color stability, excellent weather resistance.

By drawing on the German Transport Accident Information Machine Emergency Response System (TUIS), BASF is working to establish an off-site emergency response system in China to provide technical assistance to BASF chemical accidents involving teams in China.
The off-site emergency response plans in the Yangtze River Delta are BASF Applied Chemicals Co., Ltd., Yangzi Petrochemical-BASF Co., Ltd., BASF Chemical Co., Ltd., BASF Polyurethanes Co., Ltd., BASF Polyurethane Specialty Products (China) Co., Ltd., and BASF (China) Co., Ltd. Under the concept of mutual assistance and cooperation, the six companies have connected existing off-site emergency resources into a network and supported each other to ensure a rapid and effective response in the Yangtze River Delta region. The off-site emergency response team provided information on product expertise and shared experiences on chemical emergency response to help local emergency agencies conduct accident control and minimize the risk to the customer.
