Heishan Graphite Mine in Toksun County, Xinjiang: It is located about 55 kilometers southeast of the city of Toksun County. There are simple roads connecting the 314 National Highway to the west 30 kilometers. The traffic is very convenient. The work area is a Gobi hilly landform. At present, four graphite ore bodies and four mineralized bodies have been delineated to form a larger graphite mineralization zone. The length of the ore body is generally 100-200 meters, the width is 2-10 meters, and the largest ore body is 840 meters long. The fixed carbon content is generally around 15%, up to 27.21%. The top and bottom of the ore body have not been controlled. The graphite ore is a contact metamorphic rock type and is a crystalline scale-like ore. The graphite blade has a size of 0.04 to 0.07 x 0.43 to 0.86 mm, and a portion of 0.021 to 0.036 x 0.07 to 0.15 mm. The mining area has a low level of work and is only controlled by sparse trenching engineering. The amount of graphite ore resources is estimated to be 4 million tons. The ore-forming position of the graphite ore is favorable. The preliminary exploration of the trench reveals that the grade of the ore is high and the quality is excellent. The thickness of the ore body extends deeper and the grade becomes richer. The geological and geophysical characteristics of the comprehensive mining area suggest that the area has a large potential for prospecting.
