What is sodium roasting and vanadium extraction?

<

Sodium halide roasting is a process for vanadium- containing raw materials. The research is also thorough. The basic principle is to use salt or soda as an additive to convert multivalent vanadium into water-soluble pentavalent vanadium by calcination. The salt is directly immersed in the sodium calcined product to obtain a leach solution containing vanadium and a small amount of aluminum impurities, and then an ammonium salt (acid ammonium salt precipitation method) is added to prepare an ammonium metavanadate precipitate, and the crude V2O5 is obtained by calcination. The ammonium metavanadate is obtained by alkali dissolution, impurity removal and secondary vanadium precipitation with an ammonium salt, and V2O5 having a purity greater than 98% can be obtained after calcination. The calcined product can also be leached with sulfuric acid, which has been used in the extraction of vanadium from stone coal and low vanadium steel slag.
