Qinghua Group's 500,000 tons of coal tar lightened, 100,000 tons of methanol-based aromatics, and 10 million tons of logistics second-phase projects started construction in the Alxa League development zone in Inner Mongolia. With an annual output of 100,000 tons of aromatic hydrocarbons produced by methanol, the project can annually produce 75,000 tons of aromatics, 22,500 tons of liquefied gas, and 0.34 tons of dry gas. The project has the advantages of rich source of raw materials, mature technology, adjustable proportion of ethylene propylene in the product, and less emission of three wastes.

The total investment of the 500,000 tons of coal tar lightening project of Qinghua Group is 4.28 billion yuan. The construction includes pre-fractionation of raw materials, dehydration and trimming devices, reaction devices and fractionation devices, and production of coke oven gas and hydrogen storage devices. System installation, 2×75 tons/h circulating fluidized bed boiler unit and supporting facilities such as power supply, water supply, and environmental protection. After the project is completed, it can annually produce 122,200 tons of light coal tar No. 1, 285,000 tons of light coal tar No. 2, and 80,380 tons of coal tar pitch.
