After Sinotruk Group signed an asset transfer agreement with Shanghai Huizhong Co., Ltd. on September 11, 2010, Jining Commercial Vehicle Company quickly initiated related relocation and reconstruction projects. In accordance with the unified arrangement and deployment of Sinotruk, Jining Commercial Vehicle Company used the acquisition of certain fixed assets of Shanghai Huizhong Heavy Trucks to develop a new cab construction project. After the project is put into production, the design and production scale is to produce 50,000 cabs per year. The total investment of the project is 300 million yuan, and the new building area is 35,000 tons. It is mainly built into body welding lines, body painting lines, office buildings and some auxiliary facilities.
It is understood that the reason why China National Heavy Duty Truck had originally purchased Shanghai Huizhong’s heavy truck assets because Shanghai Huizhong’s heavy truck technology originated from South Korea’s Ssangyong, and South Korea's Ssangyong’s heavy truck technology originated from the German Mercedes-Benz’s heavy truck platform.
