Two models of the same pump in series, the characteristic curve can also be synthesized using a single pump characteristic curve. When the pipeline characteristic curve is unchanged, the indenter increases in series, but also less than the sum of two single-head pressure, that is, H series <2H single, and Q and> Q single.

3 combination of choice

If the value of () at both ends of the line is greater than the maximum head pressure provided by the pump, it must be operated in series.

For low resistance type pipeline (that is, the pipeline characteristic curve is relatively flat), the flow and pressure head delivered by the parallel pump are larger than the series pump.

For the high resistance type pipeline (that is, the pipeline characteristic curve is relatively steep), the flow and pressure head delivered by the tandem pump are larger than the parallel pump.

Second, centrifugal pump installation and operation

Centrifugal pump installation height should be less than the allowable installation height (ie, the calculated installation height), to avoid cavitation. In order to reduce the fluid resistance of the suction pipe, the suction pipe diameter should not be less than the diameter of the pump inlet. The suction pipe should be short and straight without valves. However, when the suction inlet of the pump is higher than the liquid level, a check valve should be added.

Centrifugal pump should be filled with liquid before start-up, in order to avoid gas binding phenomenon; close the outlet valve to reduce the starting power.

Centrifugal pump should be closed before the exit pump outlet valve.

Centrifugal pump operation, the shaft seal should be regularly checked for leaks, bearings, stuffing boxes and other heating conditions, bearings should pay attention to lubrication.
